My wonderful son Cameron was diagnosed with ALD aged 6 he is now nearly 24.

Karen Harrison

Cameron and his twin brother Alexander were diagnosed with adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) when they were 6 and Cameron had a bone marrow transplant with the hope that it would halt the disease, devastatingly he was diagnosed too late and has continued to deteriorate. He has the most wonderful sense of humour and the best laugh and smile. He makes me proud every single day. Such a brave young man
